When it comes to snacking and desserts, our Hoplite fam is always looking for something healthy and easy to whip up. These GG Bran Cracker “Kit Kats” are the perfect way to satisfy our chocolate cravings. GG Bran Crackers are a high fiber crispbread. They come in various flavors, including but not limited to: honey cinnamon, oatbran, pumpkin seed, and honey raisin. These scandanavian crips were created with the intention of adding a boost of fiber to anyone’s diet. At Hoplite, we think the greatest part about GG Bran Crackers is their versatility. We especially enjoy them during breakfast time to serve as the “bread” for an omelette or for a snack with turkey and hummus—a favorite! The possibilities are truly endless with these crispbreads. Inspired by the recipe from, @lashesandlemons, we are proud to share this sweet treat with you.

The recipe is simple. Quite frankly, the hardest step is the waiting for refrigeration overnight! You start with some Lily’s Dark Chocolate Baking Chips or any chocolate chips of your choosing. You are then going to melt that with some coconut oil in the microwave until it becomes glossy and smooth. Next, you can choose to pour or dip the GG Bran Crackers into the melted chocolate, making sure to coat both sides. As you coat them, place each cracker onto a tray or plate. Sprinkle on any desired toppings and into the freezer they go! We typically recommend waiting 4-6 hours for them to be fully frozen. Once they are frozen, you can break them by hand or use a knife to slice them into precise strips. And there you have it, a healthy Hoplite-approved snack or dessert that will definitely be a crowd favorite!
